Terms of use

Last updated: 10 July 2026

1About us

wherequeersgo is operated by Where Queers Go LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”, “our”). We run wherequeersgo.com (the website) and the companion iOS app wherequeersgo, a community-built discovery directory of queer venues and events, currently covering the cities listed on the site. References to “the Service” mean both. You can reach us at [email protected].

2Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the changes on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

3Service description

wherequeersgo is a free community-built directory. Listings are submitted by the community and curated by us, and they are provided for informational purposes only. Venue details, opening hours, event dates, and prices may change without notice. Always verify details directly with the venue or organiser before travelling, especially for time-sensitive events. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listing, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement of any venue or event.

We are not a ticketing agent.Where listings show a “Get tickets” button or similar link, that link takes you to a third-party ticketing site (such as DICE, Eventbrite, or a venue’s own site). Your purchase contract is with that ticketing provider and their own terms apply. We are not a party to that transaction, we do not handle any payment, and we are not responsible for the ticketing provider’s service, the event itself, or any cancellation, change, or dispute arising from it.

4Accounts

Creating an account lets you save venues and events. We use email-based one-time passcode (OTP) sign-in, so there is no password to remember. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, as that is how you authenticate.

Please keep your account details accurate. You can close your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account in the iOS app, or by emailing us. Account deletion permanently removes your account data including your saved spaces and events.

We may suspend or terminate an account where we have reasonable grounds to believe these Terms have been breached. Where possible we will contact you first, but we reserve the right to act without notice where necessary to protect the Service or other users.

5Community submissions and content

You may submit a space or event for inclusion in the directory. By submitting content you confirm that you have the right to share the information provided and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, edit, and distribute that content as part of the Service for as long as it appears in the directory.

We review all submissions before publication and reserve the right to edit, decline, or remove any content at our sole discretion. We may remove content that is inaccurate, out-of-date, infringing, defamatory, unlawful, harassing, or that promotes hatred or discrimination against any person or group. We take this seriously: wherequeersgo exists for queer communities, and content that demeans or endangers those communities has no place here.

6Reports

Anyone can report a listing that appears inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate. Reports are reviewed by our team. Submitting a report does not guarantee removal or any particular response time. Please do not use the report feature to harass venues or organisers.

7Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • Submit content that is false, misleading, or fraudulent.
  • Submit content that is hateful, discriminatory, or harmful to any person or group, including on the basis of sexuality, gender identity, race, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Submit content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or any connected systems.
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise access the Service or its data by automated means without our written permission.
  • Copy, reproduce, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our written permission.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a venue or event.

The wherequeersgo name, logo, design, and editorial content are owned by Where Queers Go LTD or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in them.

8Availability and accuracy

We do not guarantee that the Service will be continuously available, error-free, or compatible with your device or software. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes but are not liable for any interruption or discontinuation.

Listings are community-sourced and may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. We do not warrant the accuracy of any listing and are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on it.

9Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law.

Subject to the above:

  • The Service is provided free of charge and on an “as is” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We are responsible only for direct, foreseeable loss caused directly by our breach of these Terms or our legal duties.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or any loss of revenue or profit.
  • We are not liable for the content, safety, conduct, or cancellation of any venue or event listed in the directory.
  • We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, a third-party ticketing site or any other external site linked from the Service.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed £100.

10Third-party links and services

The Service contains links to external websites and services, including ticketing platforms, venue websites, Instagram pages, and map providers. These are outside our control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, and linking to them is not an endorsement. Following those links is at your own risk and their own terms and privacy policies apply.

The iOS app can request permission to access your device’s location. Granting location access is entirely optional; it is used only to centre the map on you. Declining just means the map opens on your selected city instead. Your location is never transmitted to our servers.

11Age

The Service is available to users aged 13 and over. Many of the venues and events listed are 18+. Age restrictions are set and enforced by the venue or organiser, not by us. It is your responsibility (and the venue’s) to check and comply with any age requirements before attending.

12General

If you have a complaint or question about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected] and we will do our best to resolve it.

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the rest of the Terms will continue in full force and effect.

No third party has any right to enforce any provision of these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
