About
This course provides an insight into substance misuse within the LGBT communities.
Chemsex Essentials is an introduction to chemsex for healthcare professionals.
Chemsex has emerged as a significant health issue mainly affecting gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men and LGBTQ+ people over recent years. Whilst fun for many, some will experience problems related to their use of drugs during sex. This workshop provides an overview of chemsex, drawing on the experience of Antidote, the UK's largest LGBTQ+ specific drug and alcohol support service run by the charity London Friend.
The workshop is aimed at healthcare professionals who wish to know more about chemsex and how they can support people engaged in chemsex who may have healthcare needs.
London Friend is the UK's oldest LGBTQ+ charity, supporting our communities since 1972.
