What does queer liberation look like to you? Join us for a hands-on songwriting workshop with musician and artivist MIRI, drawing from our Women’s Liberation Music display, and other intersecting struggles. Working directly with archival material from a movement that used music as protest, we’ll explore how activists turned political urgency into songs that supported resistance. You’ll explore how to apply these approaches to your own writing, leave with a collaborative song sketch, and practical tools for writing music with a political voice. No prior experience is required. Your ticket also includes admission to Queer Britain Museum – explore our exhibitions before or after the event. ACCESS Queer Britain Museum has step-free, wheelchair-accessible entry. An accessible, gender-neutral bathroom is available on site. Event timings will be shared here in advance.
