Screening: Jennifers body directed by Karyn Kusama!! 💋🎀 I’m so excited to invite you all to a special Halloween Fashion Film club screening of Jennifer’s body on the 28th October 6pm at Rhizomatic London When jenifers body first came out in 2009 it did not get the flowers it deserved and was marketed so badly by the studio who tried to sell it as a shallow male gaze film based around Meghan Foxes sex appeal. Today many of us recognise it and appreciate it for what it is a complex film about female rage and friendship with great fashion moments. So I’m so excited to screen this film and share it with an audience who will love and appreciate it as much as I do 🎀💓 Synopsis: high school cheerleader named Jennifer is mistakenly sacrificed to a demon by an indie rock band seeking fame, turning her into a flesh-eating succubus Fashion film club is created by Rosie Okotcha, spotlighting the costumes and creative impact of some of your fave films! Each evening begins with a gathering hour where guests can mingle, grab a drink, and connect before the film starts. Accessibility
The space is not currently ground floor, step free, or wheelchair accessible. The building is split level, and our floor is up 12 stairs. Our staff are happy to help carry mobility aids up the stairs.
We've self levelled the floors with concrete to make the space wheelchair friendly, and our tables and furniture are set up with accessibility in mind.
