Silent reading night...with a twist! Bring your current ghoulish read into the crypt for another evening of Reading Roulette... Attendees will start the evening with their own book or one purchased from the store. Every 30 minutes, readers will then pass their book to the neighbor on their right and grab the book from the person on their left. The possibilities are endless-- fall in love with a dark read outside of your comfort zone or revisit an old favorite. Avery's Crypt is a safe space curated with the queer community in mind. About the host: Avery (she/they) is a horror fan growing a career deeply rooted within her favorite genre. An independent journalist, horror scholar, and film critic, you can find her hosting local horror events in Brooklyn, NYC, and on a soapbox about vampirism.
