Join us for our monthly book club, discussing Octavia Butler's KINDRED. (It's okay if you haven't finished the book). The Hive Mind Books Queer Book Club meets once a month to discuss a different book by a queer and/or trans writer. Meetings are hosted by Camille Perri, author of the novels When Katie Met Cassidy and The Assistants. We read both fiction and nonfiction by authors across queer and trans identities. This month, we're discussing  Kindred by Octavia Butler. This is a no pressure club. It’s okay if you didn’t finish the book. What matters is meeting each other and finding community through our conversations. Free to attend. Book club picks are 10% off at Hive Mind Books. Hive Mind Books is a queer and trans bookstore and coffee shop in Bushwick, Brooklyn. We are located off of the Dekalb Ave (L), Myrtle-Wyckoff (L/M), and Knickerbocker (M) subway stations. Our coffee and tea bar will be open for the duration of this event.
