Full Moon Birdwatch! Central Park *Open to All Gathering

gather for a full moon dusk gathering full of birdsong, good company + journaling in Central Park. Birdwatch! - Central Park gather with us at dusk for a bird walk + journaling around Central Park as we identify + learn about as many bird kin as possible. this event prioritizes Indigenous, Black, and Queer attendees. we will gather at 6:30pm at the entrance of 77th St and Central Park West to meet each other and prepare our evening. from there we will make our way to Oak Bridge as we head to the Ramble for our main bird watching portion of time. around 7:30 we'll walk around the lake headed south to find a place to do some journal prompts and slowly get to our exit near 72nd St and Central Park West. we will be walking at a very slow pace so bring some water, snacks and open eyes and ears for a lovely evening together. total hike miles will be around 1.5 and we will be stopping for prolonged periods of time to listen and watch for birds. there's nothing specifically needed for this gathering, but if you have binoculars please bring them. *if you are physically unable to traverse the terrain in Central Park, but would still like to participate, vanessa will send you a special email full of information about the kin in the park + ways to engage, honor + support the ecosystem there. this is a free event, however, donations are accepted + appreciated! *not able to make this event? consider supporting kin everywhere by contributing to our efforts here if you have more questions please feel free to reach out to vanessa at [email protected] hope to see you soon!
