Slow down and get messy while zine making with Izabela of Cool Girl Making Zines. Zines are a physical, printed or DIY self publications. They started as form of activism but as they grew they became a tool for sharing personal stories, knowledge, art, etc. Zine can be about anything you wish to make it about. In this workshop we will focus on creating a DIY 8-page personal zine with collage, drawing, and multimedia elements. There will be a fabulously curated collection of materials for participants to experiment with, including stickers, print outs, textured papers, magazines and much more. There also will be prompts and zines to get inspired by, but everyone is welcome to use their own ideas. The workshop will begin with a short history and fun facts about zines. You don’t need to bring anything, just come ready to play and create! No prior experience is needed. Zine making offers a creative space for intuitive process, experimentation, mistakes, messiness and freedom.
